Starbucks date

I love Starbucks. and it's hard to pass up a good deal.

today was the last day Starbucks Frappuccinos were half off between 3 and 5 p.m. and I had a coupon for a free cake pop. we made a date out of it. it was the perfect way to spend our Sunday afternoon.
I had been wanting to try their new Frappuccino flavor: Mocha Cocnut...

they gave me this choice of cake pops...
I chose the Rocky Road kind:
it was delicious! it didn't last long - we shared it!

mini pies

when I was growing up my family would go to church every Sunday and then go to my grandparent's house for dinner (calling it dinner even though it was at lunch time). my grandma always made a dessert from scratch and usually it was one or two of her famous pies. she would make peach pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, lemon pie, boston cream pie, and the list goes on! I have never made a pie, but getting this new invention from Williams Sonoma might inspire me to:

The perfect summer nail color

I am in desperate need of a new summer-time nail polish color. Camping this past weekend was rough on my nails and the warm weather is making me want a cheery summer color. So many options to choose from...

Lately I have been loving these Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Nail Color! My sister had one of the colors and I used it and loved it! I went out to buy three for myself - I'd love to eventually own the whole collection! You only need one coat for great coverage and it dries fast!! I just can't decide what color is my favorite...

Cupcake Research

I've been commissioned to make cupcakes for my cousin's upcoming bridal shower in a couple weeks. Weheartit.com helped me do a bit of research in thinking of cute ideas on what kind of cupcakes to make.
Crumbled chocolate would be a yummy topping for the cupcakes!
I love the idea of putting fresh fruit on cupcakes.
Especially when the berries look like hearts.

Hmm... soooo much inspiration... can't wait to blog about what kind of cupcakes I decide to make for the bridal shower!
